To love once more

Contributed by noone on Tuesday, 1st February 2005 @ 05:00:02 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Love is like oxygen, we need it to survive.
I have been dying for so long it’s a wonder I am still alive.
Like a fallen petal of a rose I falter,
Every time I see a happy couple saunter.
It isn’t jealousy, but sadness.
Stabbing at my chest like madness.

Until this very day, I felt this way.
But no more for I hear the shore,
Calling my name in the dead of night.
I get tingles in the pit of my stomach at the mere mention of your name.
Your smile makes me smile with so much delight.

No turning back now, I have come too far.
Don’t knock me back for it will leave a scar,
Too many have I on my wrist,
I don’t need another, for you to enlist.
Please accept me, for who I am,
I need you; to at least program.
I can’t sleep at night because I want you to care,
Tomorrow I will sit near you in the armchair.

Until then, I hope you know,
I love you more than I will show.
Although, our love will surely outgrow,
Silly walks on the shore.

When tomorrow comes my flower anew,
Fresh smelling petals that never grew.
I will always look at you,
Thinking softly if I whereto,
Call you over and show you how I feel.
Maybe one day I will, but for now I will dream,
Of us in our new flat and how we will survive that.
Old feelings lost, now revived,
I smile once more for I know now that I am alive.

Beaultifuly written, straight from the heart, it's not about first or second, or third, 4 the taste of
love is different with every new experience, and ever new experience, is a first time . . .

This is very good for being your first poem about love. I really like this. It's very well written.
