they see that her eyes are in another place
(the same place as her heart)
the tears, they stream down from her pretty face
an ending that never even had a start
she stares far off through walls and land
to a picture of her lover's hand
wrapped around another's neck
can't he see that she's a wreck?
it doesn't help to cry at night
when she's alone in her bed
"oh, don't worry...i'll be alright"
those were the last words she said
