Tropical Paradise Reveries...

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Monday, 31st January 2005 @ 03:38:26 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

The sweet sounds of crashing waves in the distance,
Cool breezes whispering tales of love,
Palm trees swaying in a seductive dance…
A hammock set for two,
Tiki cups left untouched…
Bodies snuggle close,
Slumbering blissfully in each others arms,
Dreams already coming true…
Genuine paradise, those infinite orbs of green,
A beauty that surpasses beyond the crimson horizon…
She bleeds, the Morning Ruler,
Leaving her legacy to die atop vibrant torrents…
Hours of sunbathing and tropical lagoons,
Discovering the mysteries of the great blue sea,
Cherishing our own enigmas of love…
No need for words,
A kiss tells it all…
Languishing under Obscurity’s masterpiece called Night,
Admiring La Luna’s hard labor,
The birth of millions of stars,
Winking down mischievously…
Rhythm turns to rhyme,
And music is formed…
Repetitious sonatas of the black waves,
Soft poetry of wind through leaves,
Your voice, a soothing lullaby, whispering the sweetest words…

“I love you…”

The Melodie has just begun,
A tale of perfect strangers,
A world meant only for us,
A dance between lovers…
If words could describe such bliss,
If a picture could capture such splendor…
But words have abandoned me,
And these hands cannot paint such an image…
Only tears can describe the emotions within…
Only a smile can reveal my fervent joy…
Only a kiss can unveil my love…
Reveries of a tropical paradise,
Images of you and I, intertwined in a warm embrace,
Sharing a kiss beneath the moonlight…
Haunting my waking hours as well as my dreams,
Yearning to feel your touch, to have your presence…
With a willing heart,
I sacrifice myself to Tropical Reveries…
I succumb to moments be moonlight…

What happened to brevity? the length and the tiki cups were a detriment to this work -

Only tears can describe the emotions within…
Only a smile can reveal my fervent joy…
Only a kiss can unveil my love…

These lines were nice, and I sense a real passion in you, however - this was not my favorite overall...........

A work of art FleurdeSang! Honey so sweet.
This captured images that will stay in my mind forever. It touched deep feelings in me.
Reminded me of a place a person a time not so long ago.

I would define poetry as the rhythmical creation of beauty. (Edgar Allen Poe)

Your poetry is just this beautiful

Love Sweetangelukxxxxx

Where hast thou taken me, Steph ? I lie in warm sand. The surf kissing my toes ... inviting a moonlit swim. Promises of ecstacy linger in the air ... I feel it.

I would have to echo the thoughts of sweetangeluk ... and the quote ... especially the quote. incredible.

I've been at this site for a number of
years now. The longer my stay the
more it takes to move me but you somehow
always capture something in me. I must
admit I've always had a longing for a
tropical paradise yet I've read many such
poems and few were able to make me feel
as though I was there. Reading your work
often changes the course of what I write and
that is a sure sign to me that you are a writer
with an exceptional talent. I shall now return
to my shaded lagoon daydream. lol
Truly , Doug
