In times like these, when there's so much mixed emotion.
I feel as though the chains, keeping me bound in silence,
Are forever linked to me.
At times when I'm feeling somewhat down,
And my mind retreats someplace -
Somewhere far off,
That's kept me strong -
And safe..
Kept me safe..
With the faith that God, will never give me more than I am, able to.take..
It's one painful issue,
One after the other -
Without a rest, or brief intermission.
Another reason,
For one bad decision..
The one that I made when I trusted in you -
To be there...
When in truth I know I'm all I've got,
And if I don't care -
Do I even have a prayer...
Never did I see myself as very complex,
Or hard to define..
I'm straight forward,
Working hard to exist, for however much time that I've been granted..
So who am I?
Really, does anyone know -
Who lives inside?
We just continue forward,
In this thing we know as life..
'Till the day -
We die...
