Your empty words have never phased me
Yet you seem to have high hopes that they will.
You want to see
Your words sear my skin and my soul.
But they never will
You tell me you love me, but when I don't respond
You scream obscenities untill
My face or my posture gives you a response.
But your words mean nothing and they never will
You will never love me, truly
And I will never care.
Empty words are all you speak
And emptyness is all I hear.
