There's nothing like a heartache,
There's nothing that can make.
My river full of tears,
Just dry up and go away.
There's nothing like a lady,
Who says she'll be with you for life.
There's nothing like her telling you,
That she will be your wife.
There's nothing like her leaving,
There was nothing I could say.
To make her stop and turn around,
No words would make her stay.
But there's everything to live for,
This old heart of mine will mend.
She might not be my wife,
but in my heart she'll be my friend.
