writings of a fool

Contributed by ladyfawn on Sunday, 30th January 2005 @ 05:16:59 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

the writings of a fool
are what you read tonight
writings of one who believed the rain would not leave a cloud in the sky,
purely only a beautiful rainbow,
that everything would be okay,

if only these things had been true
then i would not be here longing; to be with you
i am waiting on a day that lifts my soul,
takes me to that somewhere; i will be whole,
i chose a sweet ride to forever;

not a free ride to never never:
a place uncompensating my losses,
a sunny day; strong as the forces that be,
no more promises and shifts in the winds,
longing the forces that were you and me:)

I am listening to a mournful cello as I read this..so sad and..what can I say. makes me weep..(I can barely read it with my old eyes because of the color..and the tears don't help.. I wish I was dead..I wish I was drunk..I wish I was dead drunk..:-(

So much sadness and longing and feeling of loneliness. I'm looking out at a sky gone rose and purple and knowing it will only last a few moments. Aren't the best things like that? We have only the memories to treasure and looking toward more like them...while in between...we cry.

Perhaps you are a fool, but you're my fool of a mother, and I wouldn't have it any other way, silly :o)

As a poem its beautiful and heart-wrenchingly sad. Insightful, expressive, emotional... and simply masterful. I do love it, my dear fool.

Hugs 'n Love
- Becca

A fool ? No

A dreamer ? Absolutely.

And the world needs more of your kind.

This is good. Your poems always inspire the writer to write.

What a powerful conclusion! I just love conclusions, and yours was really a pleasure to read. I have to admit, I was expecting something else when I read that title, and I'm surprised and enjoyed the path you chose to take. I thought you were going to write something along the lines of writing, but you really did a great job in writing the feelings you did here. That's what I get for judging a book by it's cover, eh? :P But anyways, this was yet another great write by you, and you spoke about so much in three stanzas!

This was absolutely beautful. So many of us -fools- end up writing. In the end we aren't fools at all, we are artists of our heartfelt dreams. Lovely poem, ladyfawn!
