Wish the bliss

Contributed by girish on Sunday, 30th January 2005 @ 04:18:01 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The wise declare, through all the days to every living being
That birth has its seed from strong desire to spring

If freedom from changing birth, is the desire you require
It will come only if you wish to set free from all desire

No glorious wealth is here, such as freedom from desire
A bliss like this, nothing is there that your soul can aspire

Purity comes from desire`s decease as people may know
But this too, from yearning search of truth will grow

People free from bonds of strong desire are free
If bonded, none of us could share such perfect liberty

Desire is the thing, by which each soul beguiles
With true virtue, you can dread its wiles

One who thoroughly rids his life of passion-prompted deed,
Deeds of unfailing worth, as he plans shall succeed

Affliction is not known, where no desires abide
Where it is there, there rises endless sorrow`s tide

When the desire dies away, the woe of woes
It is here, the soul, unceasing rapture knows

Drive from thy soul, this desire that`s insatiate
Straightaway is gained, the move-less blissful state

very deep, the first two lines were really interesting, making you want to read the rest. Nice work

This is wonderful...bliss is an excellent word, and this poem is wonderful. Even better, the rhyme hasn't been forced, it just flows.
