Dead telephone
Silent mile
Dead, black air
Ghost of a smile
Huge crushing ocean
Shoulders too slim
Crushed in a struggle
Face pale and grim
Echoes of moments
Hang on the mind
Substance and soul
Are set to combine
Something he knows
No shadow of doubt
Ritual of Death
And she is devout
Big empty space
Breeds poisoned mind
And crazy paranoid thoughts
Stretch out the time
And then in a daze
The stubborn beast sings
Mind snapped to now
The telephone rings
All is well and good
The angel's voice chimes
But it is undercut by something
Heard too many times
This angel spreads wings
Of hopelessness and despair
Black leathery constructs
That consume the black air
