Masquerade

Contributed by Phantomdream on Sunday, 30th January 2005 @ 02:04:33 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Masquerade comes to solitude,
dancing, weeping on my own.
Fearful stoney bay,
weary feet a dancing.
Lonely heart amongst the rocks,
water falling by the docks,
sickly soul moving on,
in lieu of all those who are gone.
My heart does pause,
for no cause,
simply to listen.
To imagine footsteps,
drawing near,
of someone to hug me,
hold me tight.
To dance with me,
in the pale starlight,
amongst these simple stones.
But they come not,
and my hopes do drop,
to the tips of my toes.
I dance alone,
on that empty shore,
amongst the many stones.
Still I wait,
while my feet go on,
for the one,
to lead me on.
From my eyes,
the tears, they come,
spilling in the waves,
glistening drops of pain.
They come and come,
and do not end.
The masquerade is over,
my heart cries out,
but still I dance,
still I whirl,
still I wait.
The people left,
the people gone,
while still I dance,
moving around,
amongst these sharp rocks.
My feet are sore,
but still I must go on,
dancing unceasingly.
It's over,
the masquerade,
but not for me,
I must dance on,
trapped in this endless waltz.
I await someone to save me,
to bring me back,
from this stoney bay.
But till that day,
I will be here,
dancing across this wretched shore,
amongst the stones,
in the pale starlight.

speaking 4 my self, no explaination needed when it comes 2 writting about love, what ever the reason u wrote this poem, where ever it came from, wheather u experience it, or simply created it from insperation, i enjoyed reading it, a beautiful peice of writting from the heart about a subject the
heart knows only 2 well, keep writting and don't wory about the guys, if that were the case, i would
not be with the beauty i am with 2 day . . .
