The Flame

As the flames burn
Life is destroyed
and everything turns to ashes.
Flashes of light
Flare up the night sky
And the intense heat over powers all
Then as the clouds come
They turn as black coal
Then the tears of angels free fall to earth
To fight the battle in which the flames are defeated
But the devastation is still there.
Devastation only for the God made beauty
To return and again once more
With thy amplified greatness
flourishing and baptized with new life.
Out of a fire’s destruction will God create an amplified art of beauty. The rage of God still gives birth to new life.
This is how good comes from the worst of things. And how the rain baptizes and renews the earth.

This is a nicely written piece but I think it fits better as prose and not poetry. |
