Close your eyes, rest your head
On your pillow of a thousand dreams
Don’t you cry, I’ll be right here
If only till you fall asleep

I have been tangled in this shadow
That has left me near my heaven to rot
(Go to sleep now)
I have to leave you for a little while
Dream sweet dreams and forget me not
(Rest your eyes now)

Know I will always be with you
If not in body, then in spirit
I cannot stay here, I can’t
Hold my breath, waiting for death

Oh the mystery of the mind
Never able to forget
Though not quite able to remember
