Cold metal contraption
pumps like a heart
Silent stoic overseer
Never misses a start
Or an end, to a friend
A maladjusted heart
Never a minute to adore
Things that tear apart
Never a minute to regret
Anything that ever was
Never a second thought to
What was done "Because"
Never a thought to happenstance
Every motive is a movement
Never have to worry beyond
Everyone assured they are affluent
But burning bridges leave cracked lips
And everyone is smiling
And everyone is dancing and laughing
While the ashes, they keep piling
But cracked lips leave ugly faces
I know that you can see
That every ugly dancing fool
Is just like you and me.
