Savior

Little did you know my savior was you
But I guess saviors need a savior too
You made me feel high when I was low
Without you life passes so slow

You saved me from all the lies
But I guess in the end all saviors must die
Saviors are thought to last forever
My attempt to save you was a failed endeavor

Why did my savior have to go?
Why did you do it, I'll never know
Did your savior end up like you?
Did they commit suicide too?

I never got to tell you
How much you got me through
This debt can never be re-paid
Although I would have tried if you had stayed

I always thought my savior would be here
To wipe away my tears and erase my fear
I was never held up by strings
You were always my wings
I thought you knew
But I guess saviors need a savior too

I wish someone told me, instead of all the lies
That someday my savior would have to die

Wow, that's pretty damn powerful. Thanks for sharing, and I'm sorry for your loss. I know both must have been tremendously difficult. I hope writing this helped at least in some small fashion.
