I - Set and Plunge
Back to the chamber
Wielding the mind
Gripping it tightly
sharp and unkind
Back to the chamber
Paid many tolls
White knuckles smile
as tiny smug skulls
Into the chamber
This time for keeps
Set here to rout
Any darkness that sleeps
Into the chamber
No reservations or fears
Pushing always onward
Be it blood, sweat, or tears
II - Battle of Light and Dark
Inside the chamber
drenched in the dark
sword clashes sword
in murals of spark
Inside the chamber
Come face to face
Assaulted by many
Fear, Hate, Disgrace
Inside the chamber
The battle slowly unfolds
Both sides detemrined
For what the other holds
Inside the chamber
Light divides the abhorred
Strong and triumphant
Both sides in accord
III - Purge and Merge
Outside the chamber
Two emerge as one
One wrapped in the other
Baptised by the sun
Outside the chamber
And into the light
Good has defeated Evil
In the Land of the Blight

Cryptic; as I see most of your poetry is. Perhaps a message? In any case, it's full of images of all kinds. Keep writing. Cheers! |

Thnaks for the comments mate. I think my most of my writings are cryptic, even the ones I write only for myself, because I tend to write about things that are deeply felt to me, and that doesn't come easy. I suppose it's kind of a defense mechanism. It's like being able to say it, but only in a language I fully understand.
But when it comes to something openly given (or publicly consumed), I think that sense becomes that much stronger. But it's more than that, because I also feel art, in any form, is as much interpritation (if not much more so) as it is conception.
As an example, I can remember many times in which particular lyrics I heard held some kind of a personal meaning for me..only to find out later that my mind had warped them into something totally different than what they said (let alone what the artist actually intended). I think that's the beauty of exchange, really. I think you have to leave other minds enough room to wriggle in and feel comfortable, while not being too vague and giving no sense of connection/understanding/feeling.
That's just my two cents though. Thanks again for the comments, I appreciate it! |
