No I can't hear you
You are no longer reflected in my eyes
Don't wipe away my tears, they're not real
I'm lost inside myself, now what's real is lies
My empty stare holds the ground
But I'm not here anymore
I'm lost in my own utopian world
With concrete dreams and bloodless gore
My river of tears under purple skies
No monters screaming my name
I'm lost in a world of impossible dreams
In the glory of unknown fame
No painful laughs or empty stares
Just me and my idealized dreams
Holding my own in an impossible world
Where no one remembers yesterday's screams
No, I can't hear you
I'm fading into an empty core
Don't try to catch my tears, they're not real
I'm not here anymore

| I like your poem. The imagery really caught my attention, but I have to wonder exactly what happened. I, like anyone else, could make assumptions, but I don't like to, and try not to. So what really did happen, and who are you speaking to? Do you really want to be left alone or are you maybe crying for help and attention? Just wondering... Kepp writing and good luck! |
