Promises

Topic: selfstruggles

Read between the lines, I once was told..
The wise say nothing, they just listen.
The grand hall of your dreams and mine-
Do you feel my breath, as a warm breeze tickles your neck? - I do!
What will it take, for you to believe my promises?

Stay with me tonight,
I don't ever want to let go of you.
You gave me sorrow - Why?
Remember your fault's grown from your pain - Fly!
And is it truely right, when you whisper, " I love you " - Please!
You're a liar, and your promises mean nothing to me.

I thought I'd never survive, in your twisted world.
For so long, I believed in your every word.
Carresses, that would take me on a journey through the universe -
On a a carpet of dreams.
Words suddenly replacesd by little white lies -
Lush green valleys', a small house in the hills' are all I'd ever dreamt of,
Promises masked by your believable disguise.

What ever happened to family values?
Wonder why you're so lost - My Dear?
Why did you break all the promises, - ruin my life?
Believe this,
You're never alone - I'm still here

Time does have its bounderies'
And some would have you believe it mends all wounds.
Are those all broken promises, or a road to heavens light?

The portals are now all opening,
The time for you to choose.
Trust in me, I'm your guide to a place kept secret for eternity.
Do you have the key?
Just trust in me - I won't break my promises.

I've never seen myself, through anothers eyes,
But I know I would be changed - Survive.
Please let me unbreak my promises,
Let me take back all the lies - Grow.

I've never been so close to heaven,
Yet , so far away - Panic!
Read my life as a horror story,
I never have - How does it end?
Do I live, or do I die?
Do you hear my words as good, and pure promises?
Or as another bitter sweet lie?
I've changed!

See me battered, bleeding, and victimized-
By my own lies.
Would you stop and say say I love youi?
Or walk on past, and chuckle, saying it serves you right.

All I have is you to live for -
This I promise...
