In Our Own Demise

In our own demise,
We find truth after all.
Even though we hide behind painted faces,
With our own facades are we enthralled.
For in the twilight of this,
Our finest hour in our darkest day,
There is still more to do,
Before we can indulge in our own game.
Sit not upon the shoreline,
No, rise up and stand,
Beside those whom you love,
While you still can.
