The Opened Door

Contributed by syloss on Friday, 28th January 2005 @ 11:46:26 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

For a man that was empty and with out feeling,

You were an angel sent from far above,

I thought I was done learning about the heart,

You taught me that I could still love,

In a death lock of total apathy,

I've persevered though my strife,

The lonely shadow of my existence,

with no emotion was not a real life.

Day by day I fell further from light,

You opened my Pandora's box which contained,

All the pain and pent up anguish,

That at some point I learned to refrain.

With all of these emotions all out at once,

I felt like a hurricane and a forest fire out of control,

Out of my dreary non-existent coma i was pulled,

At once my life was great and a hellhole.

You opened up the door to love and pain,

This great new door you brought, I went through,

But, the hurricane is over the forest fire has burned out,

Quietly listen, life continues, Jenn, thank you.
