The Sights And Sounds of One Saturday Night

The night sky is defined by a deep-blue hue
And the pupiless white of a passing moon
Lamplight leaks into the streets
As a driver turns the curves alone
Guttural growls breathe through trees
While mimicking the cries of unseen kids
Who can love this night for what it is?
Beautiful, lonely, and frightening
