Street urchin wandering an empty street,
any street throughout time,
Sudan, Poland, or Palestine,
rooting through garbage cans
looking for something to eat.
Hollow eyes look up in fear,
like a scared scarab,
black, jewish, or arab,
an approaching sound
looms so near
the goose stepping gets louder
a warlords soldier prouder
than the jihadist's hand goes to the rifle
don't waste the bullets, just stifle
the peasant's cry to God.
A skull was crushed today.
It's brain matter emptied onto concrete
leaking onto the ground beneath a soldier's feet
blood stained boots keep marching on.
One.
It gives way like a cantolope,
a gentle cracking giving little resistence
to an adult with rightous persistence
after the bone, it hits fluid causing it to squirt
in a million directions, think that hurts?
Two.
Next door a girl is raped.
Forced to the bed beneath the drapes
her cloths are ripped from her skin
a slaps looses teeth so he can begin,
a knife to the stomach makes her want it,
she begs for life as she is bled into his pleasure.
Three.
BOMBS!!!!!
For all the little boys and girls,
little toys to lighten their world.
Arms and legs form a little snow,
maybe an eye for how far it goes,
at least there's no school today,
not that there would have been anyways.
Four.
Broken bones and broken homes,
raised fists march over broken domes,
while the world revels in genocide,
we revel in a rich man's homicide.
In a country torn apart in context,
really makes you think.
What's next?

Sad. It's always males who plan these things even if males particpate, isn't it? Anyway, it was graphic enough to make me shudder. Keep writing. |
