Cloudy tears
shade the green trees
the mexican is buzzing in the front yard
thinking far and wide
never right here
could have been smiling nice when you needed it
lay awake and sinking
waiting for the hangover
that finally kills you

I think the last three lines are the best ones. Keep writing. Cheers! |

I live in a neighborhood with many mexican folks. The drinking gets so bad for some they end up getting hit by cars on a busy road. Good poem, sad, but good. |
