To See You

Contributed by Petznick on Wednesday, 26th January 2005 @ 10:48:56 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

See You

in my mind you are a form
standing at the border
of the shadows
all i possess
are faint impressions
of the true character within
i ache to know
what makes you smile
i long to know
what makes you laugh
simply so i can bring you joy
at each one of our encounters
so much
is a mystery to me
your favourite colour
your lucky number
your favourite food
your favourite band
i would settle for anything
that could pull back the shadows
so i could see you
in the light

Problem with most dedicated poems is that they do not add upto what they are to be.The people who they are for never are what they are wrote about..With that said I have wrote many dedicated poems on here and have learned that who we should dedicate to is ourselves.

This is quite touching... especially how it winds it way along to these very sweet closing lines. I can only say that if I were Janelle... I'm quite certain that I would feel wonderfully honored by this piece.

Nicely done!
