For Inside She Is Dead

Topic: DarkPoetry

There lays a girl
On a bed
Trying to move
She cannot get up
For inside she is dead.

There lays a girl
On a bed.
Her chest is moving
Her heart is beating
But she cannot move
For inside she is dead.

There lays a girl
On a bed.
Eyes open
Staring at nothing
She cannot see
For inside she is dead.

There lays a girl
On a bed
Listening without comprehending
She cannot hear a word
For inside she is dead.

There lays a girl
On a bed
The doctors have come
The doctors have gone.
Not a problem could they find
But how could they know
That inside she is dead?

There lays a girl
On a bed
The parents are screaming
All they see
Are her open eyes, her moving chest
So they assume
She is alive.
But of course
Because how can they know
That inside she is dead?

Theres no medical test,
No way to tell,
If someone is dead
On the inside.
The only way
Is if they tell you
That they are dying
Before they go.

But here lays a girl
Who never told a sole
And now she is dead
But no one knows…

This is beautiful heartfeld poem. I know those feelings all too well, sometimes it's nice to know you aren't alone even though that is how life seems. Great Job.
