He saw her inocence in one short glance
From then four years had his heart did she
One hour later did they first converse
In scenary of bodied water in new hope

5 days and four night their bonds did grow tight
Yet she had one waiting back home for her
He didn't let that stop his mind from
Agreeing with the heart on whats wanted

This new hope now ended too soon
A quick exchange of numbers is made
That evening set in motion the most critical months
When their hearts grew close from far away

As fate it seemed would toy with them
In worlds of fun a time they did meet
The didstance afterwords took effect
Her young heart could not hold on

Religious lockdown was their next known meeting
He turned to see her face glowing at once
Across rooms filled shoulder to shoulder
It seemed nothing but fate to blame again

She did cry to him of mistakes past made
In anger he did leave with haste
I realization of worse things to come
They did defeat the night hand in hand

Several months in happiness they passed
History repeated she couldn't stand the distance
Through emotions strung from fate they kept in touch
For he knew the end this would'nt be

That truth be told his time did show its face
A visit to her work came to pass
Not long after he watched her run for gold
Smiled did he once he met her family

A film with other friends was planned one evening
She now a victom to drugs lost war
Her restless mind to tense to make the move
Cold she did leave him on that rainy night

Six months she did spent in ruins of her life
Then only to write him and explain why
Now she felt it was their time, for it was ment to be
It now seemed fate hated him, for she was gone

Now from time to time reminded is he of her beauty
And of how her feelings she did not let flow
They did miss fates generous chance
Will he be able to find it again, love elsewhere?

The point of them meeting now the only mistery
She is gone, he's left alone
How could fate let this be?
Good-bye Brandi Marie

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
