“Your Name” - by J. Samuelson Copyright©2001 02/16

Here I stand out in a field
Watching, as it moves in
Dark clouds threatening me
The wind, now howls Your Name.

The sky begins it’s cracking
Followed by it’s roaring
Rain is certainly coming
It’s pouring down Your Name.

The anvil now is flattened
The swirls are now in sight
It may drop right down on me
It’s now spinning with Your Name.

It’s such a wicked squall line
The sky is going green
Reminding me of your eyes
And shouting out Your Name.

It’s racing it’s way to me
Nothing to stop it’s path
Flashing now before me
Flickering Your Name.

The funnel now is lowering
Just touching the ground
Tearing up the surface
Gouging out Your Name.

It spins with such a fury
And screams Your Name so loud
Baring down upon me
Your Name is in it’s cloud.

Debris is falling fiercely
And flying all around
I try to run away from it
Still followed by Your Name.

I lye down flat to cover me
To save me from this rage
It tries so hard to lift me
I just pray Your Name.

I close my eyes, it carries me
And takes me spinning high
Your Name has gotten to me
I wake up, I’m all right.

It was a dream so terrifying
This tornado was my heart
It only made me think of you
As I called out Your Name.
