who cares about the imprint your head left in the windshield
or the blood coming out of your mouth

"where's my purse?"
she cries
"that thing's expensive"

my heart raced like never before
I could have died that day
or even worse,
she could have killed someone else

"here's your purse *****!
and next time try not to race your sisters Lexus
down a dirt road where many have died before...
you're no more than your material possessions
and I hope you choke on them."

If I understood this correctly, this message is brilliant. Namely, don't view life as if it is simply a process of amassing possessions of personal worth. In other words, don't be greedy and / or selfish.. If this was the meaning, it is a very noble message indeed.
