Where I Belong

“Where I Belong” - by J. Samuelson Copyright©2001 02/10

What is there now left to do?
Love has made me such a fool
How and why now, could it be
I loved you both so easily?

Is it me, a heart too willing?
Always giving, always feeling
Overflowing, offering love
I can’t control what I think of.

It’s just me, it’s who I am
I just want to find love again
I know when I do, be only one
That is how it must be done.

It just so happens, there were two
At the same time, so what to do?
One came back, one always stayed
It was my heart that now has strayed.

I have to choose the one that’s right
If I don’t know, how to decide?
How in the hell will I ever know?
If I can’t choose, then I’ll be alone.

That may be best, I said it before
And see which one, walks out the door
The one that stays, must have real love
The one that leaves, has lost it all.

I need some time, to wait and see
Which one of them, will stand by me
Which one will hate me, who still cares
Which one says goodbye, and who’s still there.

It’s time for answers, and for faith
In love and life, it’s not too late
I will just think, and time will tell
Until I know, I’ll go through hell.

I guess I choose not to decide
Let one of them open up my eyes
There’s one right answer, what is it?
Why does all this feel like s#*t?

What to do now, what to say
The one with true love, she will stay
That one that gives up, she is gone
Then I will know Where I Belong.

This is good... a bit of a cop out, making them choose though. :)
