Wanting To Fall Back To Sleep

“Wanting To Fall Back To Sleep” - by J. Samuelson Copyright©2001 03/08

It’s one of those days again
Nothing seems right or real
Wanting To Fall Back To Sleep
Not even wanting to feel

Numb, and cold, well aware
Today will not be so bright
Wanting To Fall Back To Sleep
Hiding away from the daylight.

Dreams would be better than life
No one to have to talk to
No body expecting a thing
At least when I’m there, I have you

Awake, I hurt cause I love you
Wanting To Fall Back To Sleep
Asleep, I know I am with you
There I know I can keep

Your heart so close within me
My soul, now given to you
Wanting To Fall Back To Sleep
Where I can make it come true

I don’t want to step outside
Don’t want to begin a new day
Wanting To Fall Back To Sleep
In dreams I can hide away

Where all, is as it should be
And I can hold you so tight
At least that’s what I am needing
I feel in my heart, this is right

Wanting To Fall Back To Sleep
It’s all perfect there in my dreams
The way I know how it could be
At least, it is how it all seems

Awake, and in dreams, I love you
I make this promise, I’ll keep
If I can’t have you, for, forever
I’m Wanting To Fall Back To Sleep
