Rose Colored Rug

Contributed by rxqueen on Monday, 24th January 2005 @ 10:06:38 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Oh god I'm slipping,
tripping,
falling,
but I hear your voice calling
from down the stairs
a faint hello?
but it lingers,
lingers low
the rail on the stairs it creeks
as you ascend,
I embrace unatural sleep

dipping in
dipping out
but when I dip in I hear you shout
panic in this room of mine
time will tell...
the time that binds

blinds down to block the light
far from right I do such deeds
fight no more you plea to me
but it was you who planted the seed

I tried to cut
cut it deep
let the pain, the anguish seep
onto my dirty rose colored rug...
hug me as I shake and shiver
baby you make my liver quiver
no not you this friend of mine
the one who takes me out of time
far away from this place
giving me my personal space
let me weep out of this core
there is more then flesh and bones
undertones and souls and eyes that hide forgotten lies!

go now my sweet
to your feet and down those stairs
who cares about me any way
today is my final day
please leave me be
just let me lay...
go now baby
go

We were never more then what the illusion thought up by "us" could have ever let us be.

I'm not quite sure what to think on this. It's definately different, but not in a bad way. I like it. I also like the random rhyming..but hey, that's me.

Whats nice about this piece is that it feels like it poured out of you, unforced, like it needed to be.
I love the stuff that comes flooding out....great job!!!
