Here I am to tell you
Just listen, and you will see
I have to finally say this
That Kiss Meant Something To Me.

I know we’re very close friends
I cherish you that way
But kissing you was wonderful
It means more every day.

So how can I explain this?
You’ve made it all so clear
You don’t want it to go on
Not every time you’re here.

I know you have confusion
You’re not sure what’s on your mind
I want to help you find it
Just don’t leave me behind.

I felt it when you held on
Can’t this be what it could be?
It felt like a connection
That Kiss Meant Something To Me.

It’s hard for me to hide this
I just really want to know
Is kissing me as your friend
The only way that we can go?

Did it not stir up some feelings?
Did you feel something inside?
Was it really only casual?
Am I left here, still outside?

How can I get through to you
And show you how I care?
That Kiss Meant Something To Me
Somehow this is not fair.

Again I’m having feelings
I just can’t keep them in
That Kiss Meant Something To Me
I don’t see that as a sin.

I only want to see you
Spend some time, and maybe see
If I could show you next time
That Kiss Meant Something To Me.

You made it feel so tender
How I knew it would be
I only had to tell you
That Kiss Meant Something To Me.

It moved me so completely
I prayed for it to last
I’ll do all that I can now
To move on from the past.

Just keep things as you’re asking
Of course I understand
I only want your happiness
I’m offering my hand.

Please take it when you need it
I’m here for you, you see
You had to know how I felt
That Kiss Meant Something To Me.

Anytime your feeling strong
I’ll still be here, you’ll see
Reflecting on how sweetly
That Kiss Meant Something To Me.
