I’m sitting here wondering what you think of me,
Do you think I’m a liar a cheat, how could this be?
I spill my heart to you, my life to you, what does this do,
It turns you away from me turn your back on me what’s new?

I’ve told you the truth my feelings, my past,
Holding you close though I lose you real fast,
I had you in my hands and also in my heart,
Now I fell like I’ve lost you and I’ve returned to the start.

I want you to love me and keep me real close,
You’re my only remedy, give me an overdose,
I need you to love me, hold me and keep picturing my face,
Till we are in each others hearts, back to that safe place.

Great write. I can certainly relate.

While every care is taken to ensure the general sites content is family safe, our moderators cannot be in all places; all the time. Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. Â©
