The thoughts run through her head
of emptiness and sorrow
The sharpest pain and tears that drown
the heart
Fear that tries to overcome her soul
Floating in the sea of the needy
so alone
Draining out of her
the life
She once dreamed of being happy
and peaceful
Where did she go wrong
Scared to come out of her box
Afraid to be hurt
Used
So blind to see the truth
A mask she wears to cover
the world's ugliness
Wishing, hoping to see
A flower in this field of weeds

I really loved this peice because I can relate to it somewhat. I always wonder when I made the move that led me in this direction... You are extremely talented. Great write! |
