It was Early in September
(as well as I remember)
When I was walking home in drunken pride
My feet began to stutter
and fell into the gutter
And a pig came up and lay down by my side.
Two ladies passed my way
And i heard them sadly say,
" You can tell a man who boozes,
by the company he chooses."
And the pig got up and slowly walked away.
