Someone

“Someone” - by J. Samuelson Copyright©2001 03/16

Fighting fears and feelings
The ones from down within
Again I find myself alone
I don’t know how to begin.

I want to find a real love
Someone to make me smile
To give me what I’m needing
To make life all worth while.

Alone, is just a wasteland
Time spent, just wanting more
I want to feel some joy again
Like I did have once before.

The chance to feel the pleasure
Of knowing someone cares
A hand to hold in my hand
Someone who always shares.

Who gives all their attention
And wants to take a chance
To really get to know me
And start a new romance.

I need Someone who’s tender
Soft spoken, and ready to
Build a new life together
On love we find so true.

I don’t expect an angel
Just Someone who’s like me
Who has a lot to offer
Who wants to start out slowly.

Someone who has been lonely
And knows the way I feel
And needs to be affectionate
My heart then, you could steal.

I know that she is out there
Someday, she will find me
Until then, I’ll wait patiently
Someday, Someone, it may be.
