Dance with the stars
They will make this disaster seem alright
And the lies will fall away
To reveal a new page to graffiti on
Fill it up with hearts and love you’s
Just like in school

Dance with the stars
They will figure out the route from this mistake
And the hurt will fall from this place
A clean new slate
Fill it up with your name and his
Just like old times
When you used to sit round the campfire
And your eyes met through the flames
To the daydreams of you both running through fields

Harsh reality hits home
This isn’t puppy love anymore
People get hurt
And the stars don’t want to dance anymore

This is fascinating. The stars have different meanings to different people, but few lovers ignore them. Maturing means realizing how your choices affect others. Nice stuff.
