Lifepoems
|
Laying by the door,
head empty,
belly cool on the ceramic tile,
I wait,
listening intently to the world.
I wait, jealous,
in eager anticipation of a moment.
I wait, bad,
praying for redemption.
I wait,
homeless in an empty house.
I wait
for my cue
as the door opens,
as if by force of hope.
My grand moment has come.
