Purpose

Topic: Lifepoems

Purpose

Death for life
You slowly die
For another life
That hasn't even seen light
And is also destined to die
To keep the world alive

You slowly die
Wasting away till it's your time
For purpose to leave your life
And you will not see the light
Because you never did try
To keep the world alive

For another life
It's your purpose to die
So that they can question why
They were given a life

Death for life
Your purpose is to die
To keep the world alive
Your purpose is to die
And give life

I really like this poem; and your focus on the purpose of life. That is a subject that intrigues me.

Great write

These really struck me as very hard hitting words..But then again you never fail me in wanting good poetry.

that's kind of a grim outlook on life although
sometimes it seems like that is the only
purpose to life. Good poem though and I
hope that you find more to live for since there
IS so much more.
