Another year passes by.
Another birthday has arrived.
Once again you're a year older.
Once again I feel smaller.
We've celebrated this event for years.
Before long our graduation will dissapear.
Although you may be getting old,
our friendship will never again be untold.
Each year we say two words to each other,
Happy birthday from a friend so sencere.

you're new to writing aren't you? my advice would have to be to try not to force the rhyme too much, meaning don't stray from the topic so that you're poem will rhyme. if it is birthday's you're writing about, don't slip into friendship....good job =) |
