Third Eye Open

Contributed by spike on Saturday, 22nd January 2005 @ 08:11:07 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

Sitting quietly, kneeling still,
breathing deeply, sensing the physical
observe the meandering path of thought,
leaving it all for the inner world sought.

We begin, at the base of the spine,
past Kundalini, sleeping coiled
dipping the finger of the mind,
where once the whirlpools fumed and boiled.

Up the long ladder of space and time,
progressively ascending vortices
unfurling energies sublime,
seven Catherine wheels of vitality.

Past Muladhara, red and primal,
keep me strong for the journey ahead
to Svadhisthan below the naval,
give me energy to keep my stead
Manipura, in the solar plexus,
yellow fire and strength of will
on to Anahata, that bridges,
harmony unconditional.

And blue Vishuddhi, of the ether,
to hear and speak the truth of things
for now I strive to seek Ajana,
below the crown of simple kings.

Eye of wisdom, cosmic reality,
I feel your stirring below the skin
here lies intuition, focus, clarity,
inspire me to look within.

Above the eye is Sanasrara,
the golden doorway for the devout
promising release from samsara,
- in time I will seek you out.
