I have a confession to make,
Really, I’m intending to tell
Though that all depends on you
It’s in my mind whether or not to say,
But since you seem so intrigued, I guess I’ll tell the story
On that chilly winter night,
I strolled up to the Rothschild manor
With the brass doorknocker in hand, I pounded it
The thick, mahogany door opened,
Standing there was the ravishing figure of Amaranta
Her long eye lashed batted against her sun-deprived skin
The meek, quiet voice of Amaranta said, “Please Come In Desmond”
The door opened more to reveal a sumptuous foyer
A plush, indigo sofa stood abandoned,
Alongside with a gothic carved table
I felt a periling smile creep onto my face,
As my fierce, orange eyes gazed around the room
Please Desmond, come sit with my family and I
Amaranta’s petite arm cuffed around mine
So she escorted me to the great room, with a velvet carpet below our feet
I sat like any gentlemen would,
Across from the three members of the Rothschild family
Them being William, Ronalda and their stunning daughter Amaranta
As my eyes landed on her, I spied her sparkling necklace
It was the most beautiful jewel these oculars have ever seen
The dazzling sapphire was the shape of a crescent moon
That lovely topaz sun was clasping the moon
A simple, silver chain held those gems
All who laid their eyes on it were blinded by envy
I of course have everything I want, but envy was taunting me
Later had I learned that it was the symbol of their family
Not only an heirloom, but also an ancient charm of good fortune
It has been in the family for many centuries
They say it brought them out of many depressing slums
So their masks are becoming undone
The Rothschild family had all the wealth in the world
They are much loved in the petty society
I just happened to be a good friend,
How lucky could I be?
Honestly, they were fools to trust me
They were blinded by my great sense of comfort
So the night crept on, the sky was moonless,
This night couldn’t be more perfect
I was ready to make my deadly move,
Question was, were they ready for me?
Want to know what happens next?
Oh it’s brilliant!
But I guess you’ll just have to wait,
Until Lillith writes another,
I’ll get her to hurry, I promise
