Almost three months have passed,
Since that night when you told me “We needed to talk”
My heart almost stopped when you spoke those words,
I was too stubborn to tell you how I felt in that moment,
And now would give anything to tell you,
You don’t know how much pain I go through almost everyday,
Thinking about the memories we made.
Our time together was short,
But you made me feel like I’ve never felt before,
I’ve never smiled so much in my life as when we were together.
The mention of your name made my face light up.
I don’t know how to move on, although I try.
My heart still skips a beat when I see you,
But also seems to break afresh each time too.
When we first began, people told me not to hurt you,
And I don’t believe I did,
But what you did to me, I never saw coming.
I wish I could say “I’m over you”,
But I keep hoping that maybe one day soon,
You will come back and tell me you love me.

| We need to talk. no matter how old we get those words are still hurtful alot of times. Keep writing it helps. The pain does go away. It just may take awhile.a |
