The Six Senses of Love*

The Six Senses of Love*

Telling me you love at one time was music to my ears,
Yet there are other things I need from you my dear...
The way you convey those words that flow from your tongue
Tells me there's something missing in our relationship,
That needs to be said and done.

I'm giving you a crash course of the Heart,
Perhaps taking a seat before I start...
Now that we're seated we can have
This long over due talk,
Or if you prefer, we can take a walk.

Take a walk back down Memory Lane,
Through the years lots has surely changed.
We need to turn that flicker back to a flame.
Like days of old when (Hearing) you simply call out my name,
Setting my heart a flutter...now all I feel is pain.

(Seeing) each other everyday filled our hearts with joy,
Ever since I was a young girl and you a young boy.
Back then we knew it would always be you and I
I would never make you feel sad, you never made me cry.

The (Touch) of your hand is the only one I feel,
A genuine deep rooted touch showing that our love was real,
Lately I've been missing that oh familiar touch...
A feeling that my body and soul are longing for so much.

I miss the (Smell) of the roses an alluring scent so sweet,
I remember you would tell me they remind you of me...
A soft and sensual fragrance, just a drop behind my ear,
Then you would whisper sweet nothings only for me to hear.
Lately the sound of silence is all around
What happened to all joy that years ago we found?

The (Taste) of your sweet kisses would set my heart aflame,
Making your heart skip a beat each time I called your name.
Such a sweet and innocent love we had back then...
What would it take my love to get it all back again?

My (Intuition) tells me our relationship can be saved,
By smoothing out all the bumps in our road with...
The both of us working together to pave,
It with all Six Senses like the days of when we first fell in love.
Putting forth our sincere efforts, I can't do this alone,
Your heart has to be in it for us to carry on.

If that's not the case and you feel the need to leave,
I'm only human, yes my heart will grieve...
But know this, I will never close my heart to love,
Leaving me in so much pain,
There's someone out there who will be willing...
To love me as I'll love him just the same,
Compiling our Six Senses together...
For our walks down a Loving Memory Lane.

What it took to win their hearts...takes the same thing to keep them!
