Five Long Years

Contributed by bigtig6269 on Saturday, 22nd January 2005 @ 02:10:14 AM in AEST
Topic: SecretLove

What would you do if for five long years
You held back all of your hopes and fears
All for one beautiful girl
What can I say? She rocked my world
Finally get the courage to talk to her and then
Find out she already has a boyfriend
I don’t know about you but my heart was broken
The love I feel for her could never be spoken
So I try to put it down in writing
That’s okay, I’ll keep on fighting
One day she’ll know just how I feel
On that day, my love will be unconcealed
One time I was brave enough to call
But I couldn’t think of anything to say with my back against the wall
So beautiful, perfect in every way
Oh if I could only have one day
To be with her and call her mine
I would be so warm, gentle, and kind
I would personally see to it that she was never mistreated
No matter what our love couldn’t be defeated
For five long years now my love has endured
But for the chance to be with her, I’d wait five more

Just a suggestion,... hand her this poem and it will probably grab her heart for you. Very sweet and gentle- one from the heart. Nicely done!
