My Time

Contributed by ForeverAlone on Friday, 21st January 2005 @ 07:47:50 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

As I sever my thoughts from my mind
I pull away as soon as I find
That name, I slowly cry
Is this my time

I consider suicide

I hate that name
The one thats under my skin
The one thats closest to kin
Is this my time

I consider suicide

The name I hate is mine
But I hate it becouse I hate me
you've become to deaf and dumb
To blind to see
You will never know why
I hate me
This is my time

To sucumb to...
Suicide

I had no clue how long
I'd last...
But I knew if I cut my throat
I'd die fast...
This is my time

Suicide
My time has passed

This is my good bye
To all those I see, that never seen me
To all those I care for, that never cared for me
To all those I know, that never knew me
To all those I love, That never
Loved Me

I'm sorry
This is the only way
It could ever be...
But maybe some day
You'll understand
My plee,
But maybe your to blind
To ever see,
It was my time
On this lonesome day

Please forgive me

Soon the memories will
Shift and Fade Away
Never to be seen again
I'll rest in my Grave

your poems remind me so much of my poetry. my topics, how i write them etc. i like that. it means that your poetry interests me, and im not forcing myself to read each line, i want to read each line. but i liked this one a lot because it was so songlike and written well. death doesnt need your hand to deal it.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
