You see it happen,
Too little to understand.
Worrying about your loved one,
'Cause you just saw them get rammed.

Fourteen years later,
You thought it would never happen to you.
God if you only knew,
But you had no clue.

Looking out the window,
You see his car drive up.
You hurry to lock your door,
But you stop 'cause you hear him hiccup.

You run across your room,
But you're too late.
He's too drunk to see,
That you have a study date.

Luckily your friend opens the window,
And pulls you out.
You safely land,
But you still have your doubts.

Ya'll run across the yard,
Hoping to get away safely.
Finally you turn around,
And you can't see your house clearly.

He's nowhere in sight,
Ya'll have run far enough.
Finally you've gotten away,
And you feel your life's not so tough.

You feel the world,
Lifted off your shoulders.
There are no more obsticles,
You've moved all of the boulders.

Tweleve years later,
You have a kid and one on the way.
Your study date's the father,
And your father's locked away.

Your life is perfect,
It's great and grand.
You know how to raise your kids,
Without lifting a hand.
