Ode de spermarket

Contributed by jace on Friday, 21st January 2005 @ 12:06:16 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Lonesome I wander the aisles
The super market seems empty tonight

The fluorescents flicker never a constant light
The frozen food aisle is cold
The pre packaged convenience food's make me lonely tonight
Every TV diner packaged in a perfect mold

Were closing in 5 minutes announces the microphone
Please bring your purchase to register 3
I probably should go home but that is not were i want to be

At the register 3 a man pays and storms out the door
$29.50 for a dozen of stem cut flowers
At least he has someone to buy them for
I have this grocery store to wandering for hours

Yeah, some people have trouble counting their blessings. This is a touching story. Blessings.

And if libraries and art galleries were open late, they'd be packed too. There are a lot of lonely hearts out there, including mine, sometimes. Nice write.
