He tried to use his soft words to calm her
but she knew things would never be better
Like a phantom he hid her from the world
He recognized her beauty, but at the same time was still ashamed
He said he didn't care what other people thought
and was always blinded by the love she sought
Big chocolate eyes, so warm inside
were the only clues that he cared, felt some emotion
Everything she threw aside,
still could not make him forget his pride
She watched in horror as he turned away,
Too many truths in the lies he'd say
As hard as she tried,
as much as she lied,
She could never change
But her love for him would always be the same.

This poem is writen with so much expressivety (is that a word?) anyways in really liked the total outcome of it. nicely done
