My Life With You
We met on a January new
Hearts unraveled
Each feeling blue
Each of us being drawn
Unknowing our pain inside
We danced till dawn
Mix and mingle
I promised I'd see you again
Drinks that tingle
All too soon night came to end
I walked you out under a frozen moon
Again the promise I knew I ment
I could see doubt in your eyes
Each of us knows love flees at night
I knocked on your door to my suprise
Pleased to see you ready and glad
Your mother stood and gave me that protective eye
Don't worry I won't hurt her I bade
Into my car and off we drove
My beautiful Beverly June
The night I met you began our love
Each of us had seen enough pain
Two families broken
All for the sin of passion
We felt happiness and we cried
Twenty-nine years now
In darkness old love died
Never again did we think we could smile
Beverly I hold you gently in my heart
This twenty-nine years is but a while
