I saw you,crying on your porch swing,
You always look so sad,
I don't really know everything,
But I think it's because of your dad,
When you finally got the courage to play,
I looked out again,
to see that you were happy that day,
playing with your friend,
but I noticed something that I could see,
It really made me cry,
for you had bruises on your face & knee,
and I'm sure I know why,
the next time when I saw you,
The bruises were more,
but can I prove what I know is true,
for this I can't ignore,
I'm scared what can happen to you,
like you have'nt suffered enough pain
I know what your going through,
and that your fathers insane,
I wish I can give you the help that you need,
or give you a hug & tell you it's ok,
I really hate to see you bleed,
but your fathers in the way,
I heard you yelling that one night,
as I laid in bed,
hitting started,there was a fight,
now I know your dead,
he threw you down a flight of stairs,
and broke your back bone,
He acts like he never cares,
but now hes left alone,
If only I did something,
you would be alive today,
that day on your porch swing,
will forever in my mind stay,
I should have spoke up then,
if I could turn back time,
but I wont let this happen again,
because this is a horrible crime,
please forgive me for not speaking out,
your in heaven away from your dad,
he'll pay for this,I have no doubt,
remembering what he had,
so rest in peace my angel friend,
he can't hurt you no more,
It sad to think your life had to end,
your happier now than before.

| Christina, hope this wasn't true, I witnessed quite alot of this but I had no fear to speak up, some people are not made to care for a child, good write, thanks much for sharing |

That poem was really, very deep. It got me to the point where I got the chills, and I wanted to dry myself. You've got an unbelievable poetic talent. Keep it going, I liked that one.

VERY PRETTY AND DEEP I HOPE THAT'S NOT TRUE
I HAVE ONLY GOT HURT ONE TIME LIKE THAT AND THAT WAS FROM THIS BOY AT SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT VERY GOOD WRITTEN AND IT REMINDES ME OF THAT BUT IT'S GREAT!!!!!!!

| It really captured me, it gave me such chilly, lonely and intense sad feeling. Despair and helpless anger... like the others I wish this wasn't anything you experienced, though it's sad reality more often than not... |

Christina i can't tell you how bad the chills were that crawled over my skin when i was reading this one, this is a very deep emotional sad yet true reality of life living poem, it has the power to capture one's soul and grip it with all it's strength, thanks for sharing this one it's sad that children are treated in this manner and then when they die or somthing terrible happens to them the person who done it get's off free.....it has me in tears....

| u have a talent..u brought things to life with this..i hope this wasn't true...and if so i'm so sorry..i was abused as a child myself but thank god above i made it...my heart goes out to all the children in the world who is being abused for i know their pain to well..babygirlal |
